Pitzer College Alumni Association Celebrates a Distinguished Alumnus
An administrative leader in areas that range from wealth management to health care, Marc David Broidy pursued a master of fine arts in theater management from Yale University and a bachelor of arts in theater from Pitzer College. Marc Broidy served as a Pitzer College trustee from 2001 to 2009 and currently is a member of the Pitzer College Alumni Association.
Driven by a fundamental mission to serve and engage the community at large, the Pitzer College Alumni Association fosters and supports positive relationships between Pitzer and its alumni with an ultimate focus on “developing engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world.” In this spirit, the Pitzer College Alumni Association celebrated the appointment of Steven A. Gonzalez to the Washington Supreme Court.
A member of Pitzer’s class of 1985, Steven A. Gonzalez became the 58th Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court in a swearing-in ceremony on January 11, 2021. Through its social media presence, the Pitzer College Alumni Association was pleased to announce Mr. Gonzalez’s appointment and offer links to view his swearing-in ceremony live online. Upon his appointment, he became the Washington Supreme Court’s first Chief Justice of color.
